Interpretation: A skier who is Open qualified but also 35+ may ski for Overall in the Masters Division, if overall Masters qualified, as an age division skier as defined in Rule 3.03 F3 and F4. This Interpretation applies ONLY to the Masters Division.
Every year since 1975 the Western Region has recognized a member or an official who epitomized friendship, dedication and integrity. The first award was presented at the US National tournament and is now one of the Western Region’s most prestigious honors. This award was established and is maintained for a deserving person who might otherwise go unnoticed and is presented to honor Rich Slingerland and Wayne Canfield. The 2019 recipient of this award is our friend and tireless worker, Connie Bergmark. Congrats To Connie!

The Western Regional Water Ski Championship from Laku Landing selected Jeff Thomas as the 2019 recipient of the Outstanding Official’s award. The selection is made by the votes of the other volunteering officials from the tournament. Congratulations to Jeff Thomas and thanks for all your hard work!

Ryan Nason and Richelle Muhlitner, West Region Rules Committee representatives have been busy at work this year. They have worked with the entire Rules Committee to make changes to the rule book and have published the latest rules and a summary of rule changes as approved by the Board of Directors.
